Add support for multiple authors.

If you create content as a WordPress team, you need the Multiple Authors add-on. The Multiple Authors add-on allows you to assign multiple authors to one content item. You can also display their information in several easy ways, with no need to hack your template files.

Add Multiple Authors to your content

With the Multiple Authors add-on and PublishPress, you can set multiple authors for each post and display their information in your site.

When you write a post, you’ll see a box in the right sidebar. Here you can choose from all the users on your site, and assign them as authors.

When the post goes live, you’ll be able to see the author’s avatar, together with link to their profile.

Display the Author information

Instead of manually editing your template files, the Multiple Authors add-on give you several different options to display the authors’ box:

  1. Replacing the default author display
  2. At the bottom of your content
  3. In a widget
  4. Via a shortcode
  5. Using filters and actions in your template files

Add Guest Authors

PublishPress helps you avoid the need to create a new WordPress account for every author.

Using the Multiple Authors add-on, you can create Guest Authors who don’t need an account on your site. PublishPress will treat Guest Authors identically to Authors who are linked users. You will be able to select and display Guest Authors in exactly the same way as for mapped users.
